Answer : If you have good control of sugar level with healthy lifestyle ( including exercise ) , you may not have permanent shoulder pain

Answer : Frozen shoulder is commonly seen in diabetic patient but it can be seen in other arthritis conditions also like Rheumatoid arthritis , Gouty arthritis etc. In this condition there is restriction ( freezing ) of shoulder joint movement like pt is unable to touch his/her head or comb his/her hair, has difficulty to put hands on waist etc. Patient experiences more pain at night & unable to sit on affected site
Question : I am going for physiotherapy which include exercise of joint , TENS, IFT but still pain is not relieved since 4 month but it gives temporary relief.
Answer : Any exercise / physiotherapy gives result within 2-8 week . We should not do any aggressive or vigorous exercise when shoulder pain is more as it may increase or worsen pain then before . One should do any exercise within limit of his tolerable pain
Question : Some doctor suggested to do shoulder mobilization under anaesthesia , How useful it is ?
Answer : This surgical intervention is risky as shoulder mobilization is done against the spasm of rotator muscle of shoulder . This aggressive mobilization sometimes cause tear of muscle but pt does not feel pain here as pt is under general anaesthesia . But usually after this patient feels exaggeration of pain. As per current guideline nowadays doctors don not recommend this surgery / intervention
Question : What should I apply locally on painful site to ease my pain
Answer : ICE Application in hot climate works best . One can do alternate Hot / Cold application at painful site 3- 4 times per day . Patient can decide about Hot / Cold application according to the benefit he is getting
Question : Doctor I have X-ray of shoulder joint , but other doctor says it is Normal
Answer : Sonography or MRI of shoulder is the investigation of choice for shoulder pain. It helps to identify the problems like shoulder rotator muscles tear , AC joint arthritis , changes of adhesive capsulitis , bursitis, impingement syndrome etc

Answer : No significant major side effects has been observed as these all intervention are done with high accuracy taking help of Songraphy machine and/or live X-ray machine . In 10-20 % patient there might be mild to moderate exaggeration of pain for 1-2 days which resolves with medicine or ICE application.
Question : Is this pain relief is temporary ?
Answer : No, majority of time it gives long term pain relief which is from few years to permanent .
